This is a fully loaded WordPress Theme with all the bells and whistles. I have gone all out and put as much variety and uniqueness into this theme as I could without going over the top.

Administration Backend

It has an administration backend as you can see from the image below.

You can control the order of the columns, i.e., content + 2 sidebars, sidebar + content + sidebar, or 2 sidebars + content.
You can control the animation on the header.
You can control the images that appear in the header.
You can control whether sticky posts are displayed.
You can control the appearance of text such as ‘Posted by …’, tag listings, category listings.

Features

The feature known as Sticky Posts was introduced into WordPress many moons ago but one problem I’ve noticed with themes is that this, when activated, generally isn’t noticed by a user on the theme itself. Ikon handles this differently and clearly shows that a post is sticky, like so:

This Ikon WordPress Theme has built-in threaded comment support with clear delineation up to three levels of comments.

Installation

First, this theme requires WordPress 2.0+ (it is coded, and tested, on 2.7.1). Once you have downloaded the theme, unzip it and:

Upload the unzipped theme to your wp-content/themes/ directory.
Enter your Admin panel -> Presentation and select the theme.

Frequently Asked Questions

None so far! It is a simple unzip, install and off you go. You can edit the theme as you wish (it IS commented a little bit). Please read the README file included with the release, it tells you parts that you might to alter.
