Who are you writing your website for?

This might also be known as ‘know your audience’. If your website is enshrining one particular subject then it would be useless to talk about other subjects. You have to write your posts, or tailor your content, so that the material is useful to the audience to capture them and encourage them to visit your website again.

If you do write your blog, or create your website with pertinent and relevant information about one particular subject, it will help you in the search engines. Keywords that are relevant to your subject are worth more than gold in search engine ranking terms.

So are there any primary points you should focus on that might help immediately increase website traffic? Sure!

  • Write articles, or new website sections that focus on, or are related to, the subjects that you want to concentrate on.
  • Keep updating your website, search engines love new content. Newsletters are another facet of this.
  • Guides and methods that are helpful to using your product or service.
  • Encourage visitors to participate in your site; use message boards, use blogs (which have comments), use quizes & surveys.
