Theme Release & Theme Update
Friday December 29, 2006
Yesterday I finished up the new theme I was working on for a week or two - Red Portal. It’s just something I was playing around with, letting the top and bottom horizontal sections remain static as you scroll the page. The page itself is divided into two columns, one content, and one sidebar.
The only browser this effect doesn’t work on properly is IE6 (and IE5? I haven’t tested that one).
Anyway you can find more information, and the download link, on the Red Portal theme page.
Also, someone suggested several months ago, that I add in the ability to change the News Print theme (which you can see in action on Balanced News Blog) to a two column+sidebar theme as well as the current three column+sidebar. This is now done, just a simple switch in the index.php page.
Again, you can find more information, and the download link, on the News Print theme page.
Thank you for your suggestions, please keep them coming in. Work too, if you have any ![]()

Have you tested it on FF 2.0 ?
All I get is a white screen.

FF 2.0? Hmmm no can’t say I have.
There isn’t a link to click is there?
Also, try the site with /index.php after it, that sometimes is a problem when switching themes.

The link turns into this : http://www.richarddows.co.uk/?ts_theme=Red%20Portal and it doesn’t show in Fire Fox 2 or IE 7.

Hey Mac - don’t you get a link at all? It should say something like, ‘Document moved here’, and ‘here’ should be a link.
Anyway, it’s something funky with WP, don’t know why it does it. I’ll ask on the forums.

Hmm that’s a little odd Mac. It should.
What about just going to http://www.richarddows.co.uk/index.php - does it change then?
