Installing IE6 -AND- IE7
Monday November 20, 2006
I upgraded my Internet Explorer the other week to the new version (IE 7.0.5730.11). I must say that I am actually impressed by it, and rather like using it. My problem however came up the other day when I was working for a client. He mentioned a piece of a menu looked offset in IE6. I had to ask him for a screenshot because of course, in IE7 it looked just fine.
So my question is this - how do I install IE6 AND IE7 on this system? Is there a way to have both? Has anyone come across this?
I suppose that in my haste to try out IE7 I assumed that the same positioning problems would occur in IE7 as in IE6. Silly me! They’ve actually been fixed…

I’m having the same questions being asked of me. I can’t see it in anything prior of IE7 LOL
Only thing I can suggest to folks is using the !important line in the CSS.

Ya know it’s strange, when I installed IE7, my IE6 stayed just as it was, so I have both. Don’t ask me why

Thanks Mac, you’re right, I think Mel’s just teasing me.
I think I might have found the answer though, so I’ll try it out and write up about it.
