You know how you just get questions in your head that you can’t answer, rationally, or not rationally? Here’s a few that I’ve been thinking of, which maybe you, my readers, can help answer:

  • Why are men’s shirts and women’s blouses buttoned oppositely?
  • Why do no-smoking signs in the US and Europe have opposite slanting prohibition signs? (the red part with the diagonal slash)
  • Why do some countries drive on the left, and others on the right? (I know that this partially comes from the days of horseback riding and swords, but still…)
  • If competition drives economic growth, why do Governments let large companies take over other large companies?
