Kazakhs Mispell ‘Bank’ On Bank-notes
Wednesday October 18, 2006
After having a laugh over various Borat sketches and clips over the past few weeks, listening to the news reports from Ali G’s Borat’s tour of the USA, we’ve all had a good laugh at Kazakhstan’s expense right?
Wait! There’s more! That’s right folks, Kazakhstan has mispelled the word ‘bank’ on its bank-notes. In their own language. Which they are rightly proud of, given that they were pushed to speak Russian during the Soviet era.
I, like the Blue Crab Boulevard, wonder just what the mispelled word in Kazakh actually means?
