Today was an interesting day, well, aside from the downpour which totally drenched my drying clothes in about 2 minutes. *%$#!

I went for lunch with my mum and Pat at Tealby, at Ye Olde Barn. It was ok, a converted barn from hundreds of years ago. The food was ok, although the roast beef left something to be desired (like say, the taste).

We then went for a drive around the area. It’s surprising what lays around this area. Rural as it is, barely little has changed in hundreds of years. In the back lanes we visited the ruins of the Priory at North Ormsby, and in the distance you can see a marble statue alone in the middle of a field. Eery. Makes you wonder what happened to the priory really.

Then on the way back, through Fotherby we passed by the pack horse bridge, a stone construction still standing. Although the associated plaque did not say how old it is, it had some history on the area, a big wool producing area (i.e., read the Priory history above) in the 12-1400’s. It looked that old.

Well, as I look out the window at the Church, another old construction, I have to remind myself to go blog surfing!
