If someone, let’s say a Muslim, started rolling out his prayer mat on the plane, got down and kneeled on it and starting praying and muttering in Arabic, would you get a bit worried? Hmm, interesting, no?

That’s why this story that I found on the CBC.ca site, is so thought-provoking:

Some fellow passengers are questioning why an Orthodox Jewish man was removed from an Air Canada Jazz flight in Montreal last week for praying.

The airplane was heading toward the runway at the Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport when eyewitnesses said the Orthodox man began to pray.

“He was clearly a Hasidic Jew,” said Yves Faguy, a passenger seated nearby. “He had some sort of cover over his head. He was reading from a book.

“He wasn’t exactly praying out loud but he was lurching back and forth,” Faguy added.

Yes it might be worrying, but I don’t recall any Jewish suicide bombers. Anyone think of any? Gotta get those praying Jews off the plane though…

Also, a Hasidic Jew is rather visible, like say, a Buddhist monk is visible and easily recognizable. I think this whole thing is getting a little out of control. Never mind political correctness, my question just above must take precedence, are there any non-muslim suicide bombers who have taken over planes, or rammed them into tall buildings?

It honestly makes me wonder who objected to the man praying, was it perhaps, a muslim?
