I have no love for the Labour party. I don’t think that, in general, they look after the country as the country deserves.

In recent years it seems that Mr Blair is losing his edge. To my way of thinking he did that quite some time ago, and lost others things along the way too. ASBO orders for example. Last week his latest great idea is to find potential trouble-makers when they’re children, and let the government decide what to do with them, over the wishes of the parents.

Now however, his own Cabinet Ministers seem to be gearing themselves up for a revolt. As The Independent reports:

One described Mr Blair this weekend as “deluded”, while another said he was being “self-indulgent”. They are among a growing number of cabinet ministers, some formerly loyal to Mr Blair, who have concluded he must leave office sooner rather than later if Labour is to have a chance of winning a fourth term.

“This pantomime has to end or we are going to lose the next election,” said one last night.

Mr Blair doesn’t want to address the situation though, keeping avoiding the question, or urging colleagues to “stop obsessing” about his departure timing.

Good God Mr Blair, what do we need to do? Have a tea party?
