For years we’ve heard about global warming right? Most of us know that trees use carbon dioxide and produce oxygen as a by-product. This is good for us. Which is why people are applauded for planting trees etc., Rock bands plants trees to offset their use of jets, for example.
I’ve even written about the Chinese planting vast amounts of trees to prevent the encroachment of deserts, it’s a very interesting project when you think about it, because let’s be honest here, I haven’t heard of any other government in the world doing the same thing. If the USA started to plant a billion trees a year in the vast open spaces out west, you’d think that would generate a lot of interest, right? Or if the UK started to plants billions of trees in the moors, or in wind swept Scotland? But no, we don’t do things like that, do we?
…leading environmentalists have said that the problem will not so easily be solved.
You can NEVER please them! How about a big round of applause from them for the Chinese government. At least they’re doing something! And not just a token effort, not just a bit of money pushed into some charity or green movement, they’re taking hands on action to prevent soil erosion. My God, get these environmentalists a good PR man…
