Just got done watching the England vs. Sweden match.
What a load of highs and lows. Two fabulous goals by english players, great right footed kick by Cole, who is a left-footer. And then a cracking header by Gerrard. I think you can always count on him to put one in.
Rooney got taken off, he was pissed, boo hoo. Cry me a river, build a bridge, and get the f*** over it Wayne, you play as part of a team not as the Wayne Rooney show. And besides, for the performance (other than the two good goals) you should have been replaced by a defender, not a midfielder. What a lax defence for the last goal, A. Cole just standing there on the goal line watching it go on. Sad.
But thankfully we won the Group, Sweden second, and face Ecuador. Not Germany. There is a God after all. At least it wasn’t the thrashing that some had predicted Sweden would hand us…
