I’ve been giving thought to getting a new computer. The reason why is because I only have this HP I’m on right now, a Pavilion N5390, a bit old to say the least. I got it before 9/11, if that gives you any time frame, and it was probably constructed 6-12 months before that!
So I’ve been looking around and basically most of the ones I’m interested in, at least 1GB RAM, 80G+ HD space, wireless, preferably 3 USB ports, are around £850+. There are several, HP, Compaq, Advent, to name a few brands. To be honest I’m not sure of the latest reviews or what would be a worthwhile investment. If the fact that this one has lasted 5+ yrs is anything to go by, I take care of my computers, so I won’t be throwing it around.
Anyone got any suggestions for good laptops? I will be working on it mostly, web design, so it has to have a good sized screen and graphics card. I also like playing the odd video and computer game, and a lot of multimedia, maybe try out some web conferencing and skypeing with friends.
