Diane Chauffeur Working For the French Secret Service?
Sunday February 26, 2006
Sorry, I can’t resist the joke, shouldn’t he have been in reverse gear then?
Who vets these people? Shouldn’t they be given security clearance before driving someone of such importance? And, shouldn’t the wife of the future King of England, and the mother of future Kings, have permanent staff who drive her around, secure her, rather than the deputy head of security at the Ritz?
This is going to cause a lot of ire I foresee. I mean what MI6 thinking? Why don’t they put agents in these positions? Or MI5, given that she was in Paris. But regardless she should have had some serious security…
And as if to highlight this issue, the head of the inquiry, Lord Stevens, is having a hard time getting the French intelligence services to hand over the files pertaining to Henri Paul.
For shame, France, where is the Entente Cordiale now?
