I have to say, this was inevitable, that someone famous or well-known would be injured in an IED explosion. Not to detract from those talented journalists and valiant, selfless soldiers who serve there who have died, but Bob Woodruff is a celebrity and a big deal is going to be made about this.

No doubt someone will say Bob Woodruff wasn’t afforded enough protection, or that he was taking chances, but then again, all the soldiers there have the same amount of protection and take even greater chances. I hope he gets better, and that he, and his cameraman also injured in the explosion, recover.
