Do men seem disinterested in shopping because of the clothes? What about lingerie shopping? Do they stand there looking at their watch counting the minutes until they can get home to watch the football game?

A shop in Augusta, Maine, has a solution to that problem, and quite a novel one at that. Instead of dressing up their mannekins in lingerie to show her wares, Felicia Stockford, decided to hire models to wear the lingerie in her storefront instead. It has had quite an impact. Not necessarily on her business, since no statistics are available, but business owners nearby are complaining!

However not everyone is a sourpuss. There has also been some praise, pointing out that the display has livened up the normally dreary street.

Not bad for Felicia either, since she pays the models in lingerie. Clearly she says, the models are exhibitionists. She does however limit them to certain poses, nothing too provocative. So is it the models that people are perturbed by, or the fact that a shop is selling lingerie?
