Iranian Justice

Now I’m sure that you realize that most societies believe that children who commit crimes should receive a far lesser punishment than an adult who commits the same crime. Murder for example nets you 25+ years in prison or a death sentence if you are an adult, far less for a minor.
Thievery in most cases gets you a stint in a minimum-security prison no matter where you are, but for every small things like say, a loaf of bread, you might get a slap on the wrist and be sent on your way. Children who do that are generally left to their parents to discipline, right?
Then you need to see this: an 8-yr old who stole a loaf of bread, and his punishment.

I am in total shock. That’s disturbing.

That makes me absolutely sick. Also, the boy looked far younger than 8 to me. He looked about 4 or 5.

Horridly disturbing yes. I wonder if that kind of punishment is enshrined in the Koran, or whether vindictive and cruel men have decided upon it.
