I read this morning about the FBI‘s new anti-scam site called “Looks Too Good To Be True“. Now you could be forgiven for thinking that this is just another scam site itself. If the FBI is so proud of it, and wants it to work, why not put it under the fbi.gov domain name? Having a newly minted .com site is just like every other few million scam sites out there, that’s exactly what they do, get a new .com site, plop up a website that looks nice and voila! – scam site.
I think that they should have clearly stated on the front page it was an FBI collaboration with the US Postal Inspection Service, and key partners include the National White Collar Crime Center, Monster.com, Target and members of the Merchants Risk Council.
