Overt, Digital Warfare

In response to the recent London bombings it appears that the Association of Police Chiefs have asked for new legislation giving the security services “powers to attack identified websites”. However it is not new, as the British Government, the European powers, and G8 had already planned such legislation.
I think this is definately warranted, as allegedly many of these terrorist groups use the Internet to plan their dastardly deeds, and to communicate. We should not deny ourselves any means to overcome their terror and to protect the freedoms and society that we have built through hard work. Personally, I’d love a job hacking into computers - where do I sign up?

You mean they want it put on the books as being legal? I can’t believe that they haven’t done it already in some instances.

Well I’m sure most countries do have it, in a defensive form. Attack us and that gives us the right to do the same. What they’re talking about is preventative though.
