If you are one of those people who takes the advice of friends about music, then you need to take my advice and buy this album. I found this by accident, surfing blogs and found an entry talking about music styles. A lot of people have compared their early work to Creed, I can say that Lifehouse have advanced beyond the shadows and moved into a path totally their own.

This self-titled album by Lifehouse has alternative music written all over it, and it suits them. They have clearly put some of their best thought and creative juices into this album, Jason Wade’s songwriting has bloomed. Substantial and emotionally charged, put the CD into your player and sit down for 47 minutes to listen to the entire album.

If you liked their debut album (or early hit Hangin’ by a Moment), then this is an album you should set aside some time for. The band seems to explore new melodies and genre’s, seamlessly blending them with the maturity of a band coming into their own. The sounds are similar to Stanley Climbfall and No Name Face, but with a conscious move into a more soft rock sound. There are some upbeat songs in this album such as Come Back Down, Undone or We’ll Never Know, and some slower, sad songs, like Into the Sun or Walking Away, an eclectic, entertaining mix. Easy listening? No, great listening!
