The Scientists Got It Right
Tuesday March 29, 2005
Well I remember the tsunami in December, I’m sure most of you do. Maybe you gave a few $ to help out with the relief efforts, or you melancholically watched the TV and did nothing. Either way, doesn’t matter. The scientists predicted that there would be a large aftershock, and look what happened, an 8.7 “aftershock” quake (still one of the 10 largest quakes in the last century). Thankfully there was no terrible tsunami, but there were still a lot of casualties regardless. It’s good to see that when it was detected, the news got out quickly, plenty of people were warned, so it seems that for once, we humans learned a lesson from it all.
